The singer also does not take any criticism from anyone else in the industry. Recently, Ozzy Osbourne and his family decided to criticize the singer, but she did not take it too kindly!
The Osbournes decided to air out their issues with the videos Britney posts of herself dancing. The Osbournes called the videos ‘very sad’ during a podcast episode earlier this week. Their comments about it made headlines, and it seems like Britney could not help herself from responding to it.
The singer took to her Instagram to let the Osbournes know what she thought of their comments. She wrote a lengthy Instagram post. In the conclusion of her message, she addressed the Osbournes directly, “I want to tell the Osbourne family, who is the most boring family known to mankind, to kindly f**k off!!!”
On The Osbournes Podcast, the 75-year-old rocker expressed how he had a disdain for the content Spears posts on social media. He said he was “fed up of seeing poor Britney Spears on YouTube.”
“Dancing,” Sharon Osbourne offered in clarification.
“Every f**king day,” Ozzy went on. “It’s sad, very, very, sad.” Then Sharon and their children, Jack and Kelly joined in on the critique.
“Save Britney,” 38-year-old Jack said, which was a clear reference to Britney’s 13-year conservatorship that ended in November 2021. A campaign to help Britney’s conservatorship end use similar messaging.
“I know, I feel so sorry for her,” 39-year-old Kelly added. 71-year-old Sharon called Britney a “poor little thing.”
“Very, very sad,” Jack reiterated.
“Very sad indeed,” Sharon went on. “It’s heartbreaking.”
In her post, where she left the message for the Osbournes, Spears also talked about Serendipity, starring Kate Beckinsale. She praised how the actress had defended herself against trolls online.
She wrote, “Not as bad as some of my comments saying it’s sad that I’m as old as I am and I’m dancing every single day on my IG !!” She pointed out that she “hardly ever” dances and is “not poor at all.” She went on, “I know what it’s like to be judged, but I think it’s important to help each other and invite each other to places that help our souls grow !!!”
She questioned what some people are doing apart from criticizing other people and standing in the way of their dreams, “What are you gonna do to help someone out and bring their dreams to life besides being like me and Kate’s haters saying we’re too old or don’t have appropriate content ??? Do you think perhaps they might be offended by what they see ???”
People became concerned with Britney after she posted a video of herself dancing with knives late last year to her hit song “Slave 4 U.” The singer insisted the knives were fake and said that she had been inspired by Shakira’s 2023 performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. However, some worried fans asked the police to do a wellness check on her.
Britney was unhappy and criticized her fans for overreacting, saying the video had been “a joke.”
“The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4-minute performances with them,” she said on Instagram when it happened. “I am getting an apology. I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH!”
Britney was under a conservatorship from 2008 to 2021. In the duration of her conservatorship, she was involuntarily hospitalized twice and sent to a mental health facility.
