Staff at Mac’s Mission took Narwhal to the vets earlier this week to find out why he had a second tail. The subsequent x-ray revealed the tail isn’t connected to anything, meaning it serves little purpose beside turning Narwhal’s cute factor up to 1,000.
A video uploaded by Mac’s Mission shows Narwhal running and playing enthusiastically. The ‘unicorn tail’ doesn’t seem to bother him one bit!
The rescuers said: “The unicorn face tail does not bother Narwhal and he never slows down just like any normal puppy. He seems completely healthy other than some usual puppy worms he got meds for.”
Mac’s Mission have decided to keep hold of Narwhal for the time being, but will be looking to find him a forever home as soon as they deem him ready.
In a recent update on the pup’s case, the organization wrote: “It’s me Narwhal!! I don’t understand what viral is but my foster mama said my story being viral helps ALL our special needs dogs here at the Mission. You are welcome.
“I am super excited for being the poster child for ‘special is awesome’. Sleep tight, k thanks, Narwhally.“
