For her tribute, Rizzo shared one of the last texts Saget sent her: an image of himself standing onstage.
“It perfectly encapsulates how he would want all of us to remember him. With his guitar, on a stage, doing what he loved to do…making people laugh…making people happy.”
Rizzo called the time she spent with Saget a “blessing” and considered herself extremely grateful to be able to look back at “endless memories” the two shared.
“I’m still blown away by the fact that Bob hasn’t faded from all of your hearts in the slightest. It means so very much. Thank you for allowing me to still share Bob and thank you all for continuing to keep his memory alive.”
Saget’s former Full House costars also shared their tributes to the late actor.
Jodie Sweetin couldn’t believe it had been two years since “the best TV dad there ever was” died.
“Thinking of Bob (and his daughters and Kelly and the rest of my FH fam) today. Although, to say I don’t think of him on most other days would be a lie,” she wrote.
Candace Cameron Bure shared a photo of herself and Saget on the red carpet while writing how she longed for one of his hugs.
Dave Coulier also mentioned Saget’s hugs, writing, “Bob was always hugging me. I sure miss those hugs. I sure miss Bob. I loved him so much❤️”
For his tribute, John Stamos shared a conversation he had with Coulier, Bure, and Sweetin about Saget.
“Part of me wishes I wouldn’t get used to this feeling. To not think about it every minute means I’m getting used to him not being here. But then, I know Bob would want me to get on with my life. Yet, letting it drift away feels wrong too. It’s such a drag that death is a part of life.”
“I guess what I’m trying to say is, I miss him. A lot. Every day. But I’m also grateful for the time we had, for the laughs, for the friendship. He was one of a kind, and I was lucky to call him my friend.”
