Gerry and Theresa found love on The Golden Bachelor and became an instant success story for the franchise while they were at it. And lord knows Bachelor Nation needs one after every. single. couple. on Bachelor in Paradise season 9 broke up within days of each other. But despite the odds being against them given this show’s track record, Gerry and Theresa are so obsessed that they decided set a wedding date mere months after wrapping up The Golden Bachelor. Here’s what we know about their impending nuptials!
Gerry and Theresa Have a Date

It’s less than a month away, but as Gerry told Entertainment Tonight, “When you get to this age, every moment is precious and you don’t want to waste them. Now we’ve got a date out there that we can look forward to, rather than every day that we had to keep it secret. It’s a total different mindset.”
Meanwhile, Theresa told Katie Couric that “to be on such a short timeline” for their wedding is challenging–but she “likes the challenge.”
Yep, the Wedding Is Going to Be Televised
According to host Jesse Palmer on The Golden Bachelor’s After the Final Rose, Gerry and Theresa will be tying the knot in a televised special on ABC at 8:00 p.m. ET. And the wedding appears to be live? Should be interesting!
It Looks Like This Is Their Venue….
Spoiler source Reality Steve did his sleuthy thing and revealed that Theresa and Gerry’s wedding location seems to be La Quinta Resort & Club in California. As he put it on Twitter (along with some pics of them touring the venue), “This is where their live wedding will be taking place.”
Fans Have a Theory About the Officiant
Katie Couric asked who’d be officiating Gerry and Theresa’s wedding during a post-show interview (and speculated that it might be Jesse Palmer), and the couple remained tight lipped. But! They did imply there’s someone already on board to do the honors. Meanwhile, fans on Reddit are speculating that it could be Susan Noles (who is a wedding officiant!).
The Golden Bachelor Cast Is Invited
Jesse confirmed as much on ATF, saying, “All the Golden Women are going to be there.” TBD as for the rest of the guest list, but we’ll keep you updated. (Katie Couric asked to be invited, for what it’s worth!)
And the Honeymoon Is Already Planned
Jesse Palmer gave Theresa and Gerry a trip to Italy (on behalf of ABC) during After the Final Rose, and they couldn’t have been more psyched. “We can use that as our honeymoon trip because we are going to get married,” he said. “We’re going to do it as quickly as we can because, at our age, we don’t have a lot of time to waste. As quickly as we can put together a wedding plan, we’re getting married.”
