Yes, it would appear that even in her 70s, Roseanne has no absolutely no intention of conforming to the expected norms.
In a video to promote her upcoming show at the CapCity Comedy Club in Texas, Barr looked positively radiant as she showed off her new look, sporting long blonde braids intertwined with dreads beneath a white and gold ‘MAGA’ cap.
Unsurprisingly, fans were quick to dissect Roseanne’s change of style, with many of them praising the comedian for her boldness.
“I LOVE the hair Rosie!!! 🔥❤️👸,” one supporter wrote.
“Girl… your hair is cute,” chimed another.
“Loving the dreads❤️❤️❤️❤️,” someone else wrote, while a fourth stated simply: “You are so beautiful 😍.”
That Barr is so ready and willing to drastically change up her style is testament to her creative spirit, and a great way to keep her fans guessing.
Only last month did the 71-year-old attract attention after sporting an entirely different sort of appearance. At the beginning of May, Barr took to Instagram to post pictures of her new hair-do, replacing her long, gray locks with a textured pixie cut, accompanied with the caption “Cut.”
As per reports, the hairstylist behind that transformation was Andre Walker, who also works with the likes of actress Halle Berry and TV icon Oprah Winfrey.
In the late 1980s, Barr rose to megastardom after portraying Roseanne Conner in ABC’s sitcom Roseanne. The idea for the popular series came when the producers of The Cosby Show wanted to do “no-perks family comedy.”
When Roseanne premiered in 1998, the first episode was watched by 21 million households – the best debut that year. All told, Roseanne was an enormous success, running for a total of ten seasons. In addition, Barr won several awards, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
