The actor confirmed the news at the New York City premiere of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare with the press. He said about taking on fatherhood, “I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.”
Before the short red carpet interview wrapped up, the reporter commented on how Cavill would make “a great dad.” Cavill smiled at this and said, “thank you.”
Cavill and his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso have been together for over two years. The two of them often accompany one another as dates to big events. Earlier this year, in January. Viscuso accompanied the actor to the London premier of Argylle. Cavill wore a well-fitting dark blue suit with black buttons and black shoes while his girlfriend donned a floor-length white gown and matching shoes. She paired the dress with an equally long white-and-gold coat with horizontal stripes.
The couple has been dating for a while and made their relationship public in April 2021, when they posted a picture while playing chess together on their respective Instagram accounts.
“This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie, destroys me at chess,” Cavill wrote in his caption. Viscuso wrote in hers, “teaching my dear Henry how to play some chess…or…maybe he let me win?”
The first time they stepped out on a red carpet together was in New York City in October 2022 for the premier of Enola Holmes 2.
Viscuso herself is a TV executive with Vertigo entertainment. In December 2022, the couple revealed that they were collaborating together on an adaptation of Warhammer 40,000.
Cavill took to Instagram to post about how the partnership “has been a blessing beyond words, [as] without her we might not have found the perfect home at Amazon.”
“Fantasy, horror and sci-fi are the bedrock of my creative language, so when Henry introduced me to Warhammer a couple of years ago, I immediately felt at home,” Viscuso wrote on her Instagram at the time.
According to Linkedin, she was the former vice president of television and digital studios at Legendary Entertainment. The company happened to be the one behind Cavill’s movies Man of Steel (2013) and Enola Holmes (2020).
