It’s no secret that Oprah was one of Tina Turner’s biggest supporters.
As the talk show host put it in her tribute to the Queen of Rock and Roll, “I started out as a fan of Tina Turner, then a full-on groupie, following her from show to show around the country, and then, eventually, we became real friends.”
So it was only fitting that Turner surprised Oprah on January 29, 2004 during the taping of her 50th birthday show.
And surprised she was!
Oprah was genuinely shocked at the legend who appeared before her and sang “The Best” on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
