Mom leaves “baby” in car while she shops at Target – promises others that he’s OK

These days, it seems like you can hardly move in public without the risk of doing so on the internet.

We have officially entered the era of viral videos and tales, which means that embarrassing, amusing, and even even private movies and images of us may be published and disseminated around the internet in a matter of seconds.

While this can undoubtedly be misused, it can also occasionally be put to good use, as when someone is called out for doing something wrong.

When an Instagram photo went viral in early March purporting to show a message presented by a parent who had left her infant in the car to rush inside Target to do some shopping, I can only suppose that’s what internet users thought was occurring.

Is that sufficient to halt the heart? There’s more to this story than what first meets the eye, so don’t worry.

Influencer Bonnie Engle posted a reel to her Instagram in March, and it quickly went viral. The video has received millions of views and more than 1,000 comments since it was posted.

The video in question shows a close-up of a handwritten sign taped inside the window of a car, reading: “My baby is OK. He has his snacks and a drink! I’m in Target. Be back soon!”

It goes without saying that the note alone was enough to startle a significant majority of those who watched the video.

However, many who were willing to give the movie a chance quickly realized that Engle is more of a naughty spouse than a horrible mother. The camera pans back seconds after the previously described close-up on the message in the window to reveal that Engle’s baby in the car is actually her husband.

The influencer captioned the Instagram reel: “Please no judgment. He is safe & well.”

Her husband can be seen waiting inside the vehicle snacking on popcorn.

Fortunately, fans in the comments section saw the funny side to Bonnie’s clip.

“My heart dropped and then I LMAO,” one wrote.

“It’s so much easier to leave them in the car,” another person said.

“For a second I was about to get really upset … I was not expecting that,” a third added.

According to sources, Engels writes a lot of hilarious material that will appeal to moms who can identify with the pressures of parenting on a daily basis.
